About Erica Bartman

I’ve been on the frontlines of media, fashion, and beauty through massive evolutions.  I've seen what it takes to succeed in up and down cycles. 

It’s been my thrill and honor to work with leaders at top brands vs studying them from afar. 

 

Collaborating closely, negotiating, brainstorming, and problem solving with executives and teams at leading brands & agencies worldwide has built a career's worth of relationships and insights.

 

Working in market with multinational teams has provided invaluable perspective on the nuances of team building & effective communication amongst different cultures. 

 

I’m proud to have a long, proven track record of building teams that have out-performed their competition in market share, revenue, and corporate reputation.  My through line has been a healthy skepticism for resumes, always staying current on core skills needed for each role, sincere interest in each candidate's essence, importantly, their capacity to grow. 

 

Discovering, recruiting, and developing great talent has been so rewarding in my corporate career that it's become my top passion. (In addition to my agency, I'm an active mentor to a growing network of young professionals as part of how I 'give back').

Now, in my new entrepreneurial venture, 100% of my focus is on matching exceptional talents with the right roles at exceptional brands.

Achieved highest rates in category, highest repeat clientele, most noteworthy brand projects, highest business team retention, increased av. sale size by +500%.

High-volume contributor & senior leader during the most competitive, successful era of print magazines: various Condé Nast titles as promoted to new assignments , with almost 9 years at Vogue; the days when the US Post Office made special arrangements to deliver Vogue because it didn't fit into mailboxes.

Beauty/Wellness expert: 1st to market with innovative experiential pop ups and beauty tours, proprietary research on women's attitudes toward image by age, created legitimacy for Allure Best of Beauty Seal amongst consumers and brands, steered Allure through difficult period of editorial rebooting while keeping business secure.

Data geek and innovator in building revenue & value for brands: led study which inspired 1st ever travel-sized beauty products at retail (Bobbi Brown) and high authority for parent co.; created 1st ever benchmark of bot fraud loss for advertisers leading to major policy changes; led creation of 'Debunking of Millennial Myths Study' counter to common marketer party lines resulting in 7 figure revenue gains for parent company (on a $40k investment)

Employee 3 at ad tech start up, White Ops, dedicated to eradicating bot fraud. Top revenue strategist and producer, as Acting CRO, and architect of study that saved millions of ad dollars from going to fraud for advertisers. Study was supported by industry, helped change policy at DC level, and differentiated the company as a leader. Company had successful exit to Goldman Sachs.

Extensive ad agency insight and connections as relaunch Publisher of Adweek. Adweek.com, and Adweek Events. Along with high revenues, recreated a predictable CMO Awards as very modern Brand Genius Awards which continues today. Created Young Executive Lab (2 day workshop for 100 best and brightest nominated by bosses) to up-train, engage, and inspire young agency talent, which continues today.
